Our youth work is divided into two areas, depending on which school year you are in.

Xplor

Is for young people in Year 7 to Year 9 and meets every Sunday Morning during term time in County Hall Matlock from 11:15-12:15. They also meet fortnightly in term time for a fun youth cell on a Sunday night at The Riverside in Olde Englishe Road, Matlock.  Xplor is currently led by Andy & Lorna Sewell and Peter & Pamela Williams.

Emerge

Is for young people in Year 10 and upwards and meets at Riverside (Olde Englishe Road, Matlock) bewteen 7 and 9pm on three Tuesdays nights out of four during term time. On the "fourth" week, instead of meeting on a Tuesday evening, there will be a social event on the Saturday. All Emerge meetings encourage young people to meet with God, grow in fellowship and develop spiritual gifts.  The group is led by Phil & Abigail Tromans.

Following a growth in numbers attending Emerge, a number of changes are being made to the staffing, structure and evening of it's meetings. Please download a copy of the letter outlining these changes in Word (RTF) or PDF format.

'The Big 4'

Emerge are hosting a number of events in July 2011 aimed at young people in Years 9 to 13. Events include:

The Big Hunt - Tues 5th July
The Big Screen - Tues 12th July
The Big Ball - Tues 19th July
The Big Stage - Tues 26th July

All these events are totally free. Just turn up and enjoy yourself. All events run between 7 and 9pm from The Riverside, Matlock.

NewDay

Every Summer the youth in the church from both groups go to NewDay - a week long summer camp with other young christians.
