Opened in June 2006, The Source is a welcoming, friendly place providing excellent café facilities where people can meet, relax and be refreshed. We aim to offer a quality service, generous hospitality, good value for money and a range of the best Fairtrade and ethically sourced products we can find.

The Source may look like a commercial coffee shop because we have aimed for professional excellence, but it is in fact a not-for-profit, community project owned and run by Buxton Church in the Peak, a local registered charity.

The coffee shop is currently open Wednesday to Saturday and is staffed by a team of trained volunteers and paid supervisors. They will be happy to help if you need any assistance or if you would like to know more about the Christian faith. But rest assured that you can just drink you coffee in peace and enjoy the warm ambience if you’d rather not ask anything at all!
